Our Architects use a piece of software called 'ContentStudio' which is a plugin for revit and i am having some issues with it.
Whether its on the provisioning machine or when the appstack is assigned to a user it cannot connect to the internet. it requires this to connect the software to their cloud database.
Is there anything in an appstack that could prevent this from happening? Just want to check before raising a support call with them.
If i install the software on the base image, it works fine, but then we have the issue of it not showing in revit as a plugin without opening it outside of revit first and readding it every time.
The only thing i can think of is the local firewall. Appvolumes does recreate the firewall rules during logon in you have them in an appstack.
What happens if you disable the firewall, does it work as it should then?
Firewall already disabled 😕
What version of Appvolumes Agent are you using? I have heard about this in the past but it's been a while since I have seen that error.
We are still on 2.14.2.4.
Planning an upgrade very soon though.
I'd suggest testing with version 2.16..
Just setting up a test enviroment at the moment as we have had some major issues with upgrades before, but didnt have the storage for it, now we do!
