vdr database type/location

I wanted to create some reports based on the backup schedule / guests being backed up/ success/failure.

is there a database somewhere for vdr? what type is it? is it possible to link to sql server via linked server or ssis and odbc etc.

anyone try this before?

Most of what you need is probably available in vCenter as events etc.

took a look under the vcenter database (VPX_EVENT) and i don't see these items are events. I see some reconfiguration etc, but thats doesn't provide much detail to what is being done.

also i don't see how the events would contain the backup jobs etc. anyone have any idea where all the vdr job data is being stored?
