Certification 5V0-23.20 passed but not yet validated

Hello,

I'm writing to the forum because I obtained the 5V0-23.20 certification on Friday 05 January having taken the VMware vSphere with Tanzu: Deploy and Manage [V7] training course in December 2021. Before that, I obtained  VCP-DCV 2021 certification by taking the course.

Is it normal that this still does not appear on my certmetrics account?

Thank you in advance.

I don’t think that applies to you since you’re already a VCP-DCV 2021, refer to the “VCP-DCV 2021 or Newer” path on this page that you linked to: https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vcp-dcv.html

The 2024 version of that certification seems to have VCP-DCV 2022 or later as a prerequisite, according to the path this page: https://www.vmware.com/learning/certification/vsphere-w-tanzu-specialist.html

That's the list of training courses for a VCP-DCV 2023 holder to update to VCP-DCV 2024, there is a separate "VCP-DCV 2021 or Newer" path on that same page which would apply to you to update to VCP-DCV 2024.

Hi Scott,

What you say above is true.

I've had feedback from VMware that confirms this

Thank you again 😉

"Hi Mehdi,

We see that you hold VCP-DCV 2021 credentials and want to earn VCP-DCV 2024 credentials by completing VMware vSphere: What's New [V8] course.

Please note that the VMware vSphere: What's New [V8] course will not count as a prerequisite towards VCP-DCV 2024 certification credentials.

You can pass the 2V0-21.23 VMware vSphere 8.x Professional exam to upgrade your VCP-DCV 2021 to VCP-DCV 2024 credentials.

Please refer to the VCP-DCV 2024 certification website for more details.

 Thanks,

VMware Certification Program"
