Creating a Role for converter

We're setting up a new deployment for a consolidation project with vsphere esx4.1

Since the actual work of P2V will be made by some technician which might not be very skilled we'd like to give them a user with least privileges as possible .

So I'd like to know how to create a Role in datacenter with enough permission to complete the conversion

Doing a conversion requires a reasonable amount of access. I would start with a copy of the "virtual machine power user" role and work from there to remove any permissions you feel are dangerous to delegate. Most of the permissions required should be in the realm of the "Virtual Machine" section.
