Hello,
I am trying to do P2V one our server from another location. I unable to do this I am getting the following error as attahed.
I am a local adminstrator on that server and I am able to RDP that windows box from my current location. These are 2 different states.
Please let me know what ports number needs to be open to do this?
I would hope that VMware Converter is installed directly on the computer you want to convert.
If you are going to convert directly to an ESX Host, all you should need is port 443 (communication) & 902 (data copy).
A decent alternative would be to convert the system to a local (to the server being converted) network drive as a workstation 5.5 image, and then you can copy that over.
Where are you going from and to? (W2K3 Souce to ESX .... or otherwise)
How are you connected between sites?

The documentation on the converter plugin will be updated to also include 902 as it does not currently.
