P2V Local and then import to ESXi4?

Hope this isn't a dumb question.. Due to WAN speed, I am running a P2V local to an external drive with standalone convertor. The format I am using is Workstaion 8. Will I have any issues importing this onto a ESXi 4 host? Thanks!

dont do that - use WS 6.5 - 7 compatible instead.
If you follow the first tip you will have to downgrad virtual hardware again later .

Only use WS 8 format if you get paid per hour to do so

Quick follow-up.. The local P2V ended up using SPARSE disks which didn't allow me to power on the VM after I uploaded the VMX\VMDKs to the datasotre.. I had to sVmotion into thin format to use the VM.
