VMconverter taking too long to convert millions of files

Hi List....

We have one P2V we are trying to run using VMconverter - hot clone. The source machine has just under 6 million files on one partition. The files only total around 22GB of used HD space. Needless to say, converter is taking way too long to complete the task. Running a file level conversion utility on this machine is not going to be an option.

Anyone have any recommendations as to another method for converting this machine in a timely fashion using a block or image level conversion utility?

We thought about only migrating the system partition and manually copying the files from the data partition but this would take just as long if not longer to run.

If you do a cold clone it should be block level transfer

If you don't resize the volumes smaller, the copying will be done on a block-level basis.
