vCenter 5.5 VM's to an ESXi 7 Host Issues With VMWare Converter

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to migrate VM's from a vCenter 5.5 host to a new ESXi box running 7.0U2 using VMWare Converter, but when locating the destination server which is the 7.0U2 box I get the below error.

a general system error occurred: ssl exception: error:140000DB:ssl routines:ssl routines:short read

I found a few forum posts that said to edit some .xml files on the VMWare Converter box to disable using the <useSSL> tag which I changed them to false, but I am still getting this error. Am I doing something wrong? Any help or suggestions would be great because I have to have this done by Saturday and I am at a stand still right now.

Did you check the TLS version which has been enabled on both side?

No where do I check that on and what should it be set to?

after you change to "false" have you restart the vm converter service or reboot the server or pc where the vm converter installed?
