BIOS Update on ESXi host

Hi,

I need to update the BIOS on a server running ESXi. It is a SuperMicro server - I tried doing it with a USB Floppy and it refused to boot into it. I would prefer not to go down the route of a live CD - are there any other alternatives?

Thank you

If you're going to try and use a floppy disk to update the BIOS, make sure that the floppy disk is listed at the top of the boot device list in the BIOS, otherwise the server may not even check the floppy disk on startup, which may explain why it is refusing to use the floppy drive

It is listed in BIOS and is first in the boot order list.

Thanks

EDIT: Doh, I did not set the disk up right. I did that and tried again and it updated it, but it looks like that didn't fix my issue.

Thanks for the help though
