Compatibility vSphere 7u3 for HPE ML350 Gen9

Dear Community,

I've searched for compatibility for my HPE ML350 Gen9 (CPU Xeon E5-2640 V4, HPE Smart Array P840).

HPE ressources tellis me, that the latest release for that server is 6.5U3 (https://techlibrary.hpe.com/us/en/enterprise/servers/supportmatrix/vmware.aspx#ml).

vmware ressources do not find a match for CPU and type of chassis (https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php).

Actually installed is HPE-ESXi-6.7.0-Update3-19195723-iso-Gen9plus-670.U3.10.9.0.8 (Hewlett Packard Enterprise)

Can anyone confirm, that 7.0U3 with HPE custom image will work on this server and hardware?

The answer is no.  It is not a supported config.  You may get lucky and it will detect all your hardware but you will have zero support. I had problems even getting 6.7 working on some G9 servers I used to manage.
