ESx 7.01 - system does not accept the root password

Hello People, 

i am having an issue with accessing my ESX 7.0 host. it was on an evaluation license and was moved to a standard license. Each time i log in now it gives the error ~ Cannot complete login due to an incorrect user name or password.

Install ESXi once again, but preserve VMFS Datastore. You will receive a new trial and you will not lost your VMs.
