HP ProLiant can't create 64 bit images. Bios?

HP ProLiant DL360 G5 with a 2007 bios. I can get ESXi 4.0 running but can't seem to get 64 bit VMware images created. I get an error message about the processors not supporting it. I read somewhere where you had to go to the bios to enable hyper visor. On a 2007 bios is that possible? How do you upgrade the bios with ESXi already installed?

I've confirmed the two processors can support VT-x. They are Intel Xeon CPU 5160's.

I don't know how to set it in the bios which is a cli.

hit f9 during the boot process, go to process options, virtualiztion technology, enable.

Something to that affect.

Here's something else worth looking at.

Thanks! When I hit F9. I get a cli style prompt that says "rbsu>"

I've been through the help command line on it. I don't see how to convert it back to a UI style menu. Do you know?

Thanks!

Thanks! I found the command to return to a UI based BIOS and was able to make the fix as you recomended.

To return to the UI mode of BIOS at boot up I hit F9. Then typed "set config bios interface mode 1"

Upon reboot I was able to find the options in the menu to enable it.

Thanks!
