How could I merge multiple vmdk file to single vmdk file by free ?

I am using  ESX5.1 by Vmware player.

I would like to merge that ESX multiple vmdk files to to single vmdk file by free.

Is there any way ?

You can use the vmware-vdiskmanager utility to change they type of disk - from your current type 1 (growable split) to either of the other 3 main types.  The utility is in the folder where Workstation is installed - run it with no parameters for help/syntax/examples.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Virtual Disk Development K

it\bin\vmware-vdiskmanager.exe" -r "E:\ESX\VMware ESXi 5.vmdk" -t 0 "E:\ESX\VMwa

re ESXi 5.single.vmdk"

Creating disk 'E:\ESX\VMware ESXi 5.single.vmdk'

  Convert: 100% done.

convert looks finished but command prompt do not return and I tried to boot by E:\ESX\VMware ESXi 5.single.vmdk by Virtualbox but it failed to boot, but by E:\ESX\VMware ESXi 5.vmdk , it suceeded to boot by virtualbox.

Yes

but why would you do that ? Split vmdks are better, more reliable, faster ... they just dont look so good.
