With virtual servers, firewalls and switches, I was wondering if ESX has any inherant features
that would make haveing an IDS/IPS an easy proposition?
I support a couple of virtualized cloud environments (ESX) and I want to avoid the added expense
of physical taps. I am considering Snort as the IDS/IPS platform.
I should mention that I am new in this area, so if it sounds like I don't know what I'm talking about,
I probably don't!
