IQN and EUI

Is that possible to connect the iscsi server that is using the iqn when the hba is configured with eui or not?

Hi Ranjna,

could you provide more details about what you like to know?

Right now it's completely unclear.

Ralf

Hope this helps a bit.

Hi Ranjna,

normaly either the initiator and the target should have an iqn identifier.

Your iSCSI HBA would need to get the ip address/FQDN of the iSCSI target while your iSCSI Targez would net to get the HBA iqn to allow him access.

When this access is initially granted, any storage device prsented y the iSCSI array will be seen on the ESX Server with the naa or eui identifier.

Check the following artices which provides some background information.

Multipathing Configuration for Software iSCSI using port binding
