Kickstart installation fails on clearpart with invalid boot partition number (no such partition) for

In my kickstart file I have the following line to clear all partitions on a Dell BOSS device for Dell PowerEdge R640 hosts.

clearpart --firstdisk="DELLBOSS VD" --overwritevmfs

However the installation fails at this step with the following error:

Failed to clear partitions on disk t10.ATA_____DELLBOSS_VD_[…]: 2: invalid boot partition number (no such partition)

Switching to the shell and looking up the devices shows the following:

DisksDisks

The current workaround is to delete die virtual RAID on the BOSS device and recreate it.

I’m using the ISO VMware-VMvisor-Installer-7.0.0.update02-17867351.x86_64-DellEMC_Customized-A05.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
Thanks!
