Hi
I am in the process of setting up a new VMware esxi 5 installation on Dell R815 servers with Emulex FC HBA and eventually Compellent SAN (Not connected yet).
4 x Opteron 6140 cpu with 8 cores each
256GB ram
After doing the first one I noticed a very high cpu usage. Upto 50% used. So I though i will leave it till later.
Did the 2nd server and all was normal. No CPU usage.
I then started looking at the console and noticed that the helper process is taking it up.
Did a google, but this did not reveal anything.
Can anybody help or shed some light on this please. I only found one other thread from 2005, but they only suggested killing the helper process.
