No datastore after upgrading 5.5 to 6.0

I just upgrade an ESXi install on 5.5 to 6.0 on an HP DL380 GEN9 and after rebooting the vSphere client shows there are no persistent datastores available.  The storage manager doesn't even show the HP RAID system available only showing the boot USB drive.  The dry run showed nothing storage related being replaced but now the entire system is dead.  I can't even re-create the datastore and reload data as there simply is no datastore.

Is this a rollback situation?

Possible issues are unsupported FC/NIC drivers, or drivers/VIBs being overwritten on the upgrade or removed.

Are you using a Vendor ESXi custom image for the upgrade which includes all the drivers etc?

Is the server on the VMware HCL?

If you need to then yes you can rollback via the altbootbank

Hope this helps
