PSOD during ESXi upgrade

Hi!
When upgrading a HPE ProLiant DL385 Gen10 Plus v2 server using the image from version "8.0 GA - 20513097" to "8.0 U1a - 21813344", the PSOD appears. Would anyone know why?

Hi @odvarka

your error says:

  • Hardware faults occur when there are issues with CPU, memory, or main board components.
  • Software issues are more complex and require more detailed examination to troubleshoot the reason for the fault.

Check this KB -> https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2071752

@mviel I am just saying what the PSOD error on the pic is saying... Without further investigation and checking the logs and core dump, you can't say what the problem actually is.

So no-one is blaming hardware and "make a day" but trying to help with reduced information presented here. Keep in mind that we are not paid to do the support work here, we rather try to help each other. Your comment doesn't help at all, for example. 😉
