I have an old server with 1.8 GHz processor speeds. Technically these don't meet the speed requirements for ESXi 5.5. I'm only using this for a lab environment, so how fast the server boots up, how fast it runs VMs, is not so important, just so that it eventually boots up. Other than having a slow server, if your processor does not meet the minimum speed requirements, is there any other negative effects this might have? Will ESXi actually malfunction or not boot if the processor is too slow?
