Recover lost VMFS5 datastore

Hello,

after a replacement of a failing disk on a Raid 1 array, my ESXi 5 host says that there is no datastore.

I've attached the image to show the situation.

I could see the files with the evaluation version of Diskinternals VMFS, and I can see the VMFS partition with partedUtil.

I've searched and find some solutions on the net, but I'm not very much into this kind of things and I'm also not sure that the solutions I've found will fit my case.

So my question is if there is someone who could give me an help to recover the datastore.

The ESXi installation and the datastore all resides on the same disk.

Here are the information extracted with partedUtil:

partedUtil getptbl /vmfs/devices/disks/naa.60019b90b190880017649b887f921b2e

Maybe I'm just a couple of commands away from the solutions but I don't want to mess with things I'm not sure about.
Hoping that the data inside the VMFS partition is not corrupted...
Thanks to everyone who will help me.

Have you tried to rescan your storage adapters?  In your attached screen shot on the top right, click "Rescan All."

Thank you Lax617,

yes I've already tried to rescan but without success.

It looks like I have to rewrite the partition table to make the vmfs partition visible, but I don't know exactly the command and the cylinder boundaries to use...

Tried a fresh install on a USB drive but again the scanning doesn't succeed.

I think I should try a solution like this:

http://communities.vmware.com/thread/391750?start=0&tstart=0

but again I'm not exactly sure on it...

I'll do further investigation, meanwhile every help is much appreciated.
