Shutting down all ESX 4 hosts for data center outage

Hello,

Can anyone please confirm the proper steps to totally shutting down all infrastructure hosts (1 cluster) for a data center outage? Obviously we need to power down the guests. I am questioning what to do next in regards to whether or not to turn off DRS and HA, putting hosts into maintenance mode or not.

Thanks,

I would do:

- Shutdown VMs

- Disable HA

- Place host in maintenance mode

- Shutdown all hosts
