Update plugin - How to install a plugin?

I have en ESXi 5.5 host server (free version).

I am accesing the host with vSphere Client and when I go to the plugin menu, there is no plugins installed or available.

When I right click, the add plugin is greyed out.

Do I have to be on a vSphere server instead of the client?

Like I said, I am using the free version of ESXi. I just want to be able to update/patch my ESXi server without turn off my VM's

Plugins is only published or enabled through a vCenter server
