I have a linux based VM on Esxi 8. Upgrading VM compatibility to Esxi 8 and enabling DPI in VM causing the ports to go down. If upgrade VM Compatibility is not done there is no issue seen even after enabling deep packet inspection in VM.
In Esxi 6.7 even after Upgrading VM compatibility to Esxi 6.7 U2 and enabling deep packet inspection, no issues are seen.
In Esxi 8 even Upgrading VM compatibility to Esxi 6.7 U2 and DPI enabled ports are going down.
In Esxi 8,
DPI on and "Upgrade VM Compatibility" - Issue is seen
DPI off and "Upgrade VM Compatibility" - Issue is not seen
