Using NFS in ESXI

I am looking for some methods to export directories in ESXI to another linux machine. In a regular Unix environment it can be done using NFS. How can NFS be used/installed in ESXI 4.1 so that the datastore directories can be exported to other linux based system for mounting? Is that possible in ESXI ? is there any other way it can be done. Any tips would be nice.

If you just want to make a share between your ESXi and Linux, why not try to setup a NFS server on your Linux and then mount it in the ESXi?

I have never setup NFS in ESXi successfully, if can, I think it still needs many external tools or packages, such as gcc, nfs server package,etc.
