VM kept re-booting after enabling VM monitoring in Cluster.

Hi,

Just wanted to know that why VM kept re-booting when using HA with Virtual Machine Monitoring in the cluster.Please help me on this  Why this happens.

Hi

Assuming that you have the VMware Tools installed and running in the VM(s), then i'd have a look at the VM Monitoring settings for the cluster to see if they are too aggressive.  If only one VM is affected, have a look to see if there is a custom setting for that individual VM rather than the cluster defaults.

Here all the VMs i.e 60 VMs re-booting after enabling the VM monitoring logs in the Cluster.

Hi

Interresting... What are your settings for VM monitoring, and what is the sensitivity set to?

It may be a good idea to look in the vCenter logs to see if there is some more detail to explain why the failure is detected.  Also, you may like to disable monitoring for all but one VM so you can test without impacting all your VMs.
