I have numerous VMs on three VSphere servers and one VM shows the foillowing behavior. Guest is a fully patched W2K8 server running TMG (ISA) firewall with dual NICs (VMXNet2).
Every 15 minutes the CPU usage heads up to 80% for 60 seconds. If I shutdown the VMWare Tools Service the CPU usage stays down very low.
Any thoughts? Can I just leave the toosl service off? It is the primary exit/entrance for all fo our internet traffic so it will be rarely shutdown/rebooted.
Thanks
Bob
I know this is a very old question. I have a similar problem, have you found a solution?
Have you thought to update vmware tools or downgrade them?
try to play with vmware tools
I've found the solution on my side: https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-vCloud-Director/I-O-error-on-CentOS-7/m-p/2987032#M13644
