Does anyone know of any known issues with DFS and VMware - we have a few Document Management applications (eDOCS 6.x) that seem to fail to create folders on DFS shares without any type of pattern. The application creates a \user_id\Month\DD\ directory structure in a YYYY parent folder - one example is we have 10 eDOCS servers auto-archiving documents - each to their own \user-id\ folder on the DFS share. On the 1st of any given month 4 of the 10 servers might fail to create the month and day (month\dd) folder. There are other systems that we see the same behavior on intermittant basis on the 1st of the month. This is new since the implentation of DFS. We have worked with with the DM vendor - so far no conclusions. Just wondering if someone has experienced behaviors anything like this?
As a workaround we have been creating the folders in advance.
