I have installed ESXi free server about four months ago. When I upgraded my Windows machine, I can not use the client anymore. When I checked for the new version, it does not allow me download the new version. It says I don't have the privileges to download the client. It looks like I have to upgrade my server to be able to use Windows 7 compatible client. There are several threads that indicate the upgrade is not successful. Since I have some valuable / useful VM hosts running on the server, I am not sure how I can ensure that the upgrade will install correctly and not damage the existing hosts. Is there a place I can download just the VSphere client?
