i have a virtual hdd with 30 gb thick partition

Hi guys,

I have v hdd of 30 gb thick partition. i would like to decrease the space from 30 gb to 20 gb thick/thin. How can I do this. Please help, thanks.

Depending on the guest OS this can be achieved using e.g. VMware Converter. (volume based cloning)

Hi,

Depending on the situation

1) If your VHdd is of Windows OS disk then you can go with the VMWare converter by V2V and decrease the space.

2) If your VHdd is not of OS disk then you can decrease by to way

     a) Decrease from V2V converter

     b) Decrease from edit setting and at OS levet you have to use Third party tools like Magic Partition (Which is not recomended by Microsoft)

3) Else you can assigned new VHdd and copy the data from the old VHdd and delete the same.
