installing Vcenter5.5 inside Windows server 2012 VM and SSO registration is failing.

installing Vcenter5.5 inside Windows server 2012 VM and SSO registration is failing. I tried entering the Windows Server 2012R2 VM IP address in the lookup services.

any thoughts?

SSO administrator user name : administrator@vsphere.local

SSO administrator Password - Passw0rd

Lookup Service URL - https://:7444/lookupservice/sdk

Search the VMware knowledge base (http://kb.vmware.com) for "Error 29113" for more information"

I am studying for VCP5 and going thru the Mastering vSphere5.5 book. I have installed Vcenter with virtual appliance and now trying this way.

thank you

Can you confirm that the SSO service is running and listening on port 7444 ? Just try netstat -an | find "7444" from a elevated command prompt inside of your Windows Server 2012 VM.

I was missing single-sign on and Vcenter inventory Service. Inside my windows server 2012 R2 VM installed Vcenter.

When I open a browser and i go to https://nameofserver:10443/vsphere-client/ I get an error HTTP status bad request.

any ideas?

Did you change the port of webclient to 10443 . if this is the port then please do check whether this port is open in the firewall.
