Hey Anupreet01,

There are various options for configuring syslog for ESXi 5.0

You can use local syslog, remote syslog collector, Vima etc

With vSphere 5 the logger is part of vCenter now.  http://www.boche.net/blog/index.php/2011/07/23/configure-a-vcenter-5-0-integrated-syslog-server/

vi-logger which was part of vMA 4.x is no longer in vMA 5.x but there are alternatives - http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2011/07/free-linux-windows-syslog-alternatives.html.
