We have about 170 VMs on EX 3.03, we are migrating them to ESX 4.1. During the migration we are upgrading VMWareTools and the Virtual hardware, this process "whacks" the TCP/IP setting on the NIC. Is there a process to backup the settings before the migration and them import them back in via a script or ...? I've heard on one, netsh, but I can not find detailed information on its functionality and usage.
