virtual machine power resume after esxi 4.1 power failure

I have a ESXi 4.1 server that is losing power in the middle of the night. When the server resumes, the virtual machines on the server don't resume. Is there a way to have the virtual machines resume after a power failure? I seem to remember this as an option on an earlier release.

1- select host

2- go to Configuration tab

3. Virtual Machine Start up/shutdown option

check the attachment
