AMD Shanghai

Does anyone know if the existing Vmware product(s) (especially ESXi) is currently compatible with the AMD Shanghai cpus (2376, etc...)? and, also if anyone has done any benchmark comparisons or tests with them. (Probably a little early for that, but results can always be posted later.)

I know they are not on the HCL yet (too new). Just wondering if they are not certified yet, or if it will require a new release from Vmware.

I would suspect they may work now without a VMWare update since they aren't a major revision from the current quad cores. Pure speculation on my part however.

There are (record-setting!) VMark numbers for Shanghai on Update3 on the VMark Results page, so it might be fairly safe to assume it works.
