I have an environment where another business unit already has a View environment in place. We have an OU dedicated to us and we requested a View Composer account with the appropriate permissions, but the other BU is telling us to use the same composer account they're using. Is this possible? Or even a good idea?
I don't see why it would be a problem as long as the account has access to your OU too. You would of course need a unique composer database if you are using different View environments.

Agree with the different database comment.
As long as the account has sufficient permissions, it should be fine. The computer accounts for the desktops need to be unique globally, but you can use the same AD account in different OUs to create the computer accounts from the Composer.
