All,
We are currently running VMware View version 5.1.1 and have VCOPS installed on our Linked clones and Full VMs.
Since View version 5.3 has VCOPS baked into the View Agent do we need to remove VCOPS 1st or is the new View Agent installation intelligent enough to know and handle the existing VCOPS one way or another.
Thanks,
E
Be very careful when you uninstall these Agents order of removing from your golden image. I would first un-install vCOPS Agent, then the View Agent, remove VMware Tools. Then install VMware Tools and new View Agent 5.3
thanks but why would i need to remove the vmware tools?
when ever you upgrade agent you need to follow these steps. If i remember this correctly it has something to do with Display drivers which gets overwritten.
