How do you enable View 5.3 MMR and how do you know it is being used?

We have just installed View 5.3 + feature packs. Can someone tell me how you enable MMR and how you can tell it is actually being used.

Thanks in advance!

I found this old post from the pre WIndows 7 supported days.   At the end GunnarB list a method of testing to see if MMR is in use.   I'm not sure if it's still applicable but it's the only thing i was able to find as of now.

Hi,

Assure that you have at least:

- VMware Hardware 8 or higher;

- 3D rendering must be enabled. (If this is greyed out, assure that PCoIP is the only protocol. Users may not choose)

- Windows Media Player 12 must be installed on the View Desktop;

- Clients should be Windows 7;

- Local decoder should be installed on the clients;

- Assure MMR is enabled in the View Administrator;

- Traffic to port 9427 must be allowed.

- The clients must have DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA)- compatible video cards that can decode the selected videos.

- If needed: check / create a key in the following place

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\VMware,Inc.\VMwareVDPService\handshakeTTL

The Windows registry key controls the handshake Time to Live (TTL) value and is set in milliseconds. The

key is in REG_DWORD (hex) format. The default value is 5000 milliseconds (five seconds).

Cheers.
