Hi
I’ve created a Horizon environment and created an Automated Desktop Pool
The funny thing is, that when the provisioning starts, the replica machine is created in vcenter, the virtual desktops are created and immediately after that everything gets deleted!
This is what is shown in vcenter tasks:
I have 3 virtual servers:
vCenter appliance 6.0.0 -3040890
connection server 6.1.1
composer server 6.1.1
any ideas?
What is logged in View administrator? What version are the host running the environment?
Hi
VMware Horizon View 6.1.1
there are 2 logs in connection server (windows os) Event Viewer :

and on the web client :
I assume you are using quickprep when creating the pool. Does the account you specified when setting that up have the correct permissions so that can join to the domain and move objects into the specified OU?
The Account has domain admin privileges (at least I think so! I must double check it!)
but does it matter? I mean if the account does not have the appropriate access, the system deletes the newly provisioned machines?
I checked it. the user is OK
another thing : I\m using a Windows 10 (built 1511) Image. should this be the problem?
Hi,
The provisioned desktop may get deleted due to following reasons:
1. Provisioning Customization could have failed for some reasons, so it may get start deleting
2. Auto-recovery could have enabled
So, Check the desktop whether provisioning is failed for some reason or not.
Update ADAM entry pae-RecoveryDisabled to 1. Path : Connect to ADAM using Adsiedit > Go to OU=ServerGroups > Select Pool and update the ADAM entry through Attribute Editor, will stop deleting the provisioned desktop automatically
Hi, sorry for reviving an old thread, but I'm having the exact same issue. Did you ever get this resolved?
i had the same issue exactly and we found it was account permission, mean the account dose not have permission to create computer object, but which account?
when you add vcenter to Horizon and configure the composer
one of the steps is to add domain to composer
the account you use in this step should have proper permission
