Need View design help

Hi,

Because of security problems we want deny users to connect to the internet from their workstations/laptops.

We know that they need to browse the internet and for doing that we tought about using view.

in other words, if a users want to go to the internet, he needs to connect to a vdi in a dmz with internet explorer, and from there he can browse.

Does this makes sense?

Is this possible with View (using his active directory credentials)

Where should I put my view connection servers?

Any body has a design or a use case for a situation like tis?

thanks

Hi Peter,

this sounds possible.

connection server(s) can reside in the internal lan.

just make sure all correct routing and port forwards are available between internal lan (connection server, AD, ...) and dmz.

Information on which ports should be opened can be found in the View documentation and depends on whether you'll use rdp or pcoip...

regards,

Steven

Thanks for responding. I know the View design guide, but it only talks about getting into you company network, not getting out.

I'll start testing with all the components inside ourr network, with the vdi's inside a dmz.
