We're running Horizon 8.6.0 with instant clones and using FSLogix. We've noticed when attaching an item to a message in Outlook, PDFs do not show up in the Recent Items list. We've confirmed that "Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start or the taskbar" is enabled, and PDF files are displayed in the Recent Files list in File Explorer.
Any suggestions on how to get PDF files to show up in the Recent Files list inside Outlook?
EDIT: It appears that ONLY Office files show up in Outlook's Recent Items. PDF files, image files, text files do not show up.
I haven't tried it yet, but please see if this helps: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/outlook-does-not-display-acrobat-pdf-files-when-y...
We had a similar issue. We were able to pinpoint it to VMware's shell. As a test try removing "vmware-view-unity-shell.exe" from the setting below. This should enable the Microsoft shell.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.\VMware VDM\Agent]
"AppSessionShellReplacement"="vmware-view-unity-shell.exe"
