Hello and greetings from Portugal!
I believe that this may be a very common question but, we're at the moment evaluating the creating of new VDIs for our developers.
There have been a lot of questions about what should be their "standard" VDI which made me also have some questions about it:
- should we use full clones?
- what should be the standard disk size?
- is there any other special recommendations we should take in count?
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards,
Diogo Sousa
I'm creating a new template. Just got too many stuff done on that one.
Just one thing. The template needs to have an administrator account created?
Technically not. If the domain join works and you can logon with your domain admin, you're good to go, but you might want to have a local admin account just in case (doesn't have to be named "administrator")
Mickey just to do this right...
When installing View Agent, should I include the View Composer Agent?
No, you only need this for a linked clone desktop pool. You also don't need the instant clone agent.
so...template done...let's try to create a vm from template...
yeeeah! I believe it worked now! already created 2 machines! 🙂
Mickey! Thanks! Useful as usual!
