I recently tested VMware integrated printing, and I was wondering if there is any possibility to set and Enable the printer sharing with a specific print sharing name via group policy / Registry / Anything else without running custom scripts on startup.
I'm looking for a way to set Sharing for the printer, while doing so manually it works. but Restart spooler creates the Printer again with no settings (no sharing)
Are you talking about setting sharing name for a redirected printer in a VDI VM? And you expect the setting to survive from a Spooler service restart? If so VIP does not support the use case so far please work with your Broadcom/VMware representative to raise a feature request if you have the need.
