View Administrator won't see parent VM

Greetings everyone.  While working in my small View 5.0 test environment, I’ve run into an issue where, when attempting to create my first pool, View Administrator doesn’t see the snapshot of my parent VM, which is running Windows 7.  vCenter, Composer and Connection server are all communicating without issue, and I’ve double checked every setting and permission I can think of.

Has anybody out there ever encountered this before?  What am I missing?

Do you have the agent installed inside the parent VM?   If you click on sho incompitable snapshots does it show your snapshot?

Depends on what type of "Pool" you are trying to create.

Only "Linked-clone" pools are based on "snapshots".

If you are doing a regular pool of dedicated vm's then you need to convert your master vm to a "template" and then point the pool at the template.

Also make sure your Connection Server is configured correctly with the Vcenter as far as permissions, etc.

Hope that helps.
