Hello,
I'm putting new POC for vSphere 5.5 + Horizon View 5.2 (latest codes) for upcoming client project, but it looks like I can't enable View Storage Accelerator with grey out option:
View Storage Accelerator is unavailable because vSphere 5.0 or higher is required
As you see, I'm using vSphere 5.5 and vCenter 5.5 Appliance and deployed all 4 VMs (Connection, Security, Composer, Transfer servers on each VM) why does it said I need vSphere 5.0 and higher, but I already using 5.5?
Anyone see this before? By any chance?
Looks like the feature deprecated or something and replace with CBRC (content base read cache) can someone confirm?
After playing a little bit, deleted existing connection server entry on View admin console, re-added again and looks like the Storage Accelerator finally show up, I can now enable cache disk and select hosts for them.
This also occurs if you have View Composer co-installed and the View Manager account doesn't have the required permissions, re page 90 of the horizon-view-52-installation guide. Your View Manager role in this instance should have all of the privileges on page 89 & page 90 combined into one role, i.e View manager. The documentation is misleading in my opinion
Hi azn2kew,
I also on View 5.3 Add vCenter Server got are same issues, could you detail list out modify which setting can help me, thx.
I'm having also this issue trying a POC with version 6.
How did you sorted?
