I build several desktops when we where running esxi 4.x and then upgraded to 5.0. I have since built another desktop and it's version 8 and I can't connect to it with view at all. Just get a black screen and then a disconnect. For testing all firewalls are turned off. One other difference is the os. All v7's are windows 7 pro and the new one is windows 7 enterprise.
Please update new VMware tools, after Virtual hardware upgrade. Then reinstall the view agent and take a new snapshot.
Now provision new desktop from this snapshot
The vm tools have been updated and show current. The agent was installed after the upgrade on all the vm's, not just the v8 one.
