Hey all,
I'm deploying View 4.6. I have a couple of connection servers sitting behind a pair of HA F5 BigIp load balencers. My display protocol is PCoIP. My desktop clients work perfectly when connecting to the virtual IP or directly to the connection servers.
I can't get a Wyse P20 to connect when using the IP address or hostname of the F5 virtual. They prompt for credentials and authenticate users. Users then see the pool. When the pool in selected the terminal just gets stuck "connecting" forever. The P20's work fine when pointed directly at the connection servers.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Patrick
Hello Hypnotoad, do you check if all the ports are correct redirected to the client to desktop?
Remember that the after the view manager authenticates the user, then the client establishes a direct connection to the VM, see if all corrects ports are open.

All ports are open from the P20 to the virtual desktops. Why would the PC client work and the P20 not?
What is the status of ports between the P20 and the connection server(s).
There is no firewall between the P20 and connection servers.
Then you may wish to determine the port settings on your network such as duplex, speed, etc... I have heard of others having this problem because of such issues.
Did you get this working in the end? We recently posted a View 4.6 Deployment Guide which may be of help, http://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/vmware-view-46-dg.pdf

I was away for a while and didn't get to work on this. I did get it working just this morning. I needed to set the 'use ssl' check box on the Wyse P20. So far it seems to be working fine. We'll do more testing.
I saw the new version of the F5 View deployment guide. This is the third version I think. I downloaded it last week and am curious as to what is different from the privious version.

I think the recent revision was adding SNAT and adding some info on where to find profile settings within the GUI. The big change was the matrix we now have in terms of the various options with/without security gateway servers etc.
