firewall setting changed after template deployed

i have create a non-persistent pool, the VMs are auto created from a template. in this xp template, i enable the windows firewall and allow exception:

TCP 4001 and remote desktop(TCP 3389). but in the deployed VMs, the firewall setting is diffren:

1) no TCP 4001 entry.

2) the "remote desktop" is not checked

so i need to change the setting one by one. BTW, the template is auto joined into a domain.

Funnily enough, I just discussed this yesterday - have a look at the second half of this thread: http://communities.vmware.com/message/968870

The short answer is domain and non-domain firewall settings are stored in separate locations, this is a common gotcha. Also, you don't need to open port 4001, that's the port the agents connect to the connection server on, not from connection server to agent.
