Recently we updated password for the account used to connect to vCenter in VMware Horizon View
Keep on getting errors like
"Bad username/password"
"vCenter at address https://viewcenter.xxxxxx:443/sdk has invalid credentials"
"A connection problem occurred between View Connection Server, View Composer, and vCenter Server. Check that all the services are running and the ports and URLs are entered correctly."
Able to authenticate with AD using same credentials
Able to login to View Connection Manager using same credentials
User account used for login has relevant permissions on vCenter.
Only thing change from previous is the password and not able to update the new password under "View Configuration" -> Servers -> vCenter Servers.
Any pointers please?
So your saying you can't update the account name under View Configuration, Servers, vCenter Servers to reflect the new password?
I can change the account/pass but when trying to save/validate then getting those mentioned errors
What format are you placing the username? I've seen some instances where people have to put domain\%username% where they had previously only had to specify %username%.
domain\username and username@domain
tried both; no avail
Can you create a new connection to vCenter and then delete the old one?
Its not letting me add a new one with same name
in addition to that, its not letting me delete the vCenter as pools are present
not letting me delete the pools and says credentials to connect to vCenter is invalid
Classic catch 22 here
