Hardware compatibiltiy for SRM implementation?

Got a question about SRM implementation....

I am trying to find out the specific requirements surrounding hardware required for SRM to be put in place.  Does the recovery site need to have the exact hardware that is used at production?  I'm hoping not as it would add a cost increase to the overall setup that i'm looking to avoid.  Does anyone have a link or doc that deals with this?   Can I have a mixed environment - production site is running on Intel chipset where Recovery site is on different Intel Class or AMD chipset?  I know this cannot happen with vmotion but I hope that in SRM the implementation handles \ injects what is needed.

thanks for your reply

From VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager 5.0 Performance and Best Practices: Site Recovery Manager does not impose similar hardware requirements across both sites.

But you need sufficient hardware resources to support failover of all your virtual machines or choose to not start all protected virtual machines... and if CPU across sites differ, some virtual machines will need a additional reboot after detect changes on CPU architecture.

Protection and Recovery of Virtual Machines with Memory State Snapshots

When protecting virtual machines with memory state snapshots, the ESXi hosts at the protection and recovery sites must have compatible CPUs, as defined in the VMware knowledge base articles VMotion CPU Compatibility Requirements for Intel Processors and VMotion CPU Compatibility Requirements for AMD Processors. The hosts must also have the same BIOS features enabled. If the BIOS configurations of the servers do not match, they show a compatibility error message even if they are otherwise identical. The two most common features to check are Non-Execute Memory Protection (NX / XD) and Virtualization Technology (VT / AMD-V).

This is from the SRM documentation. This means it is recommended to have compatible hardware at both sites.
